Grillecraft & Kamei
anyone have pics of a car with a kamei upper grill with the grillecraft lower 3 pc set? I want the grillecraft lowers but want to make sure the mesh matches well

I'd like to know as well. I have the black Grillcraft grills on my black Jetta and I'm really interested in getting the Kamei grille to match.

imo, the grillecraft doens't really match the kamei in that it's flush with the bumper and the kamei grille is in a little more, you know what i mean?
i have the kamei too and i was going to get the grillecraft, but i thought a DIY grille set would look nicer
i got some jom universal mesh (matches kamei almost exactly) from pg (cheaper than the kamei universal mesh and it comes painted...) and stuck it to the inside of my bumper (instead of the outside) so there's an indent like the kamei grille...you know? i don't have a digi so i can't show you, but i got that idea from some dude that posted a pic of his ride here...(sorry, forgot his name)

The mesh patterns are completely different...very open on the Kamei, and tighter on the Grillcraft lowers. Personally, I don't like either, although black lowers are better advised than silvers. The better grilles (like Oett/Proj) have much nicer mesh. I have pics of a friend's black Jet with the black Kamei and silver lower Grillcrafts if interested. I have to email them as I can't yet post these to this forum. I stayed with my Oett grille rather than getting in on GB for the Kamei...seeing it in person changed my mind immediately. Pics can be very deceiving...see them both "live" before you throw down the $$$.
