They do not offer Corrado Hoods at this time. Yesterday we contacted them and found out what it takes to get them done. I will provide the mold hood. It is from a 90 G60 so the center buldge will be down not up like the newer VR6 Hoods. I am thinking about seeing if they would just make it flat with no buldge or indent at all. The hoods come with Nuts embedded in an outer fiberglass frame to mount the rear hinges on them, The hoods will require hood pins on the front.
Time to final delivery: 4 weeks. The hoods wil be drop shipped directly to you from the factory. Fiber Images does not deal directly with the public. They only go through Distributors. We are going to become one with this order. The requirement: 10 Hoods. I already have 2 sold locally but I need yopur help.
This is legit, I will hold all funds until I have all 10 orders. At that time I will send an email to let everyone know the status. Then I will deposit checks and write a check to fiber images for the total amount. At that time we will figure out what shipping you want and I'll arrange that with Fiber Images so they can be shipped directly to you.

I own 2 corrados,a blue stage 3 G60 and a red 2.0 liter 8 valve turbo. Many people have seen the red one at the Bug Out in Manassas, VA Licencse Plate = "EURO". Just so you know Im not some scamming dealer, I am a corrado enthusiast.

Wasn't there a Group Buy on this exact hood about two months ago? I think they're still waiting for the hoods to be made. Their price was $685 for the carbon/kevlar weave, $585 (or something like that) for the normal carbon fiber.

now this is interesting....theres already a GB with fiberimages.com using the VR6 hood, and carbon fiber support so we wouldnt need hood pins.
Its funny that everytime im ready to post a "whats the update on the GB" theres always another post when i check vortex.

We contacted Fiber Images yesterday. They have not been notified or are in any way contracted to make any hoods for the VW Corrado. We are going to become a dealer for them in Virginia with this order. We are serrious about this and want to move forward. These hoods are the carbon kevlar weave and I set the price for 700 to make a little money for my trouble and for hidden costs. Thats the way I'm doing it.

ok crazyleggs you need to jump in here anytime and tell us whats up with your buy. or anyone whos involved in that buy have you gotten your hoods???? i know he has over 8 grand in orders so you guys might want to see whats going on or call fiber images. man if you did a vr6 hood it would be way better so it would fit both cars you wont get much business when all the g60 guys dont want them anymore!!!! later,

Im not trying to mess up anybodys group buy or anything, We (AR Fabrication) http://www.arfabrication.com are going to become a dealer with fiber images. We have already sold 4 civic hoods and we wanted 2 corrado hoods. to be a dealer you need 10 hoods of any combonation, But they dont make corrado hoods so we talked to them about making corrado hoods from scatch and they told us we would have to provide a donor hood and 10 orders of that particular hood to start production. I would love to use a VR6 hood for the donor hood but I havent sourced one yet. Any Offers?

hey man thats not a bad deal. if you consider my trouble to building a crate so the hood wouldnt get messed up. and me shipping it to cali would be like 400. shipping hoods is alot of money. the guys name is crazylegs here on vortex do a search on his name and you can find his email.

I dont want to cause any problems here but if you were in the orginal group buy and wanted a VR6 hood and not a G60 I would stay with the orginal group buy.
Yes it has been a while since we got an update from JB on what is going on but patience is a virtue.
I would wait for JB / crazylegs to get back to us with some info on what is going on.
But if euro is going to be going through fiber images also what makes it any different that they wont have delays either?

Hey Greg.
I'm planning on hitting the salvage yards at Brandywine this weekend looking for a VR6 hood. If I find a good one, I don't need it until February or so, I could drive it out to you in Winchester. I'm just east of you, so it isn't much of a problem.
If I find a good one this weekend, I'll post here and let you know.

This struck me as odd to... the guy who I order all my stuff through refused to let me get the CF hood because he called fiberimages like 10 times and never once was told of a group buy or that they were even going to make the hood... now the thing is if they make the GB hoods... I will bet you my car that they will continue to produce them... so thats where I stand Im just waiting it out.

I don't think that they are doing the GB. They are just making the hoods. Until they get a hard order they will most likely not comit to a product being made. They also will not speak to anyone other than real resellers, I know, I tried. I do also know their product (I've seen many a honda hood) and I know it is good. I'm in. If we don't do a GB then no one else will ever have a hood.

I just figured if I've got a hood laying around, I might as well put it to good use and help some folks out by letting it be the mold for FiberImages.
If I get a deal out of it, so much the better. I've got to hit the salvage yards anyways looking for other parts.
