I don't want a dragster, just a fast car to tackle corners with around 300hp, so started thinking about a GT-25. Therefore, I'm concerned about lag and how that turbo would match the gear ratios of a 5sp.
Will it spool before 2400rpm? I'm looking for dynoplots, or some comments.

Re: GT-25 anyone? (Shad)

You'll need a gt28r to get 300hp...
And that one will spool soon enough.
I hadd more than 10psi at 2500rpm with my gt28r...
Full boost at 2800 in high gears.

btw...
the gt28r had much better responce than the K03 above 3000rpm.
It spools über-fast

I'm leaning towards the GT28R with a .63 exhaust as opposed to the more common .82. The 25R will work great for AutoX and Road Racing where torque is more important than HP, but it won't get you 300whp.

But I'm not looking for 300whp, "just" 300hp.

I doubt the GT28RS would spool earlier than a GT25. A dynosheet of a GT28RS would be nice. A brazilian tuner got [email protected] with a GT-25:

Also, there's a GT-25S, for the same price of a GT-25. What's the difference? Even the dealer doesn't know.

All this talk of and with you being overseas, I'm assuming you're talking CRANK HP. You need to specify as Americans are used to wheel HP.

...i couldnt convince myself that this one was much larger than the k03s...smaller than the gt25r anyway

There is an ATP kit is a GT25/28 which sounds about what you want. I dont about making 300hp but you could probably come close.

Re: GT-25 anyone? (Dog_Eater)

I live in Brazil. It's hard to find good ready-made kits, but one can source the parts with some ease. It's incredible that parts like injectors are so expensive, but on the otherside a GT-25 costs only US$400. I also can have a custom crush bent turboback for $100 ($500 for mandrel bent).
Some tuners have "kits" like APR S3 for US$2400. Also, ours are custom dyno-tuned, and we use ethanol instead of gas
