I have an 01 GTi VR6 and am looking to do either the chip or an intake. Could those of you with experience with either one please help decide which will give more "bang for the buck" in terms of performance. I am not very concerned with how the car "sounds". Can you really feel a power difference with either of these options?
Thanks!!

Re: GTI VR6: GIAC chip or AEM intake ??? Please help with decision... (jon*r)

from dyno's i've seen i believe the GIAC will. of course the giac will also be more expensive. also i've had a giac in my vr6 for 4 months now and i'm very pleased with it.

I agree, I did everything backwards, but I like the idea of seeing the performance gain with each mod befor the chip.

Good question!! As much as I love my EAM intake I would say the chip 1st! Getting rid of the DBW lag and limiter alone are worth it! Im just waiting for Garrett to do a VR6 version that will work with a N20 system and not mess the timing. As soon as that is out I'll be doing mine
