It really depends on the wheel offset and the alignment settings you choose for your vehicle.
Here's what I have and it doesn't rub 99.9% of the time:
H&R Cup Kit
17"x7.5" - 205/40/17 - 30mm offset
-1.5 degree camber on the fronts
1/16" toe-in
A 30mm offset is about as much as you can have without rolling the fenders. I would probably suggest a 30-35mm to be safe. When I had my stock 15" wheels and 0 degrees of camber, my wheels rubbed much more than they do now under hard cornering.
