H&R springs (can't search, so I'm askin')

Ok, I'm going back to the stock shocks for a softer ride, but I still want to drop the Jetta. From what I've managed to deduce, it seems like I'll be ok with the sport springs and stock shocks (I have a 1.8T, by the way). However, I'm curious if I could go with the race springs and still retain the stock shocks. Any advice is appreciated.

It is not even right to use H&R sports with stock shocks. Yeah, they will work...initially. But they will wear way faster than with the stock springs.

Soft sport maybe with stock shocks, not sport or race.

go with the h&r sports and bilstein shocks. I have a comfy ride. I drive in the city everyday too. that sucks butt, but its worth it really

I second that. I have the same setup, even with my 18's it isn't too bad.
Re: H&R springs (vertigobora)

I have sports on my car with stock struts and shocks for about 20K miles.
I have no problems to speak of and the ride is much better than the stock springs. I have 18" wheels as well. With the Race springs you will need to replace your struts and rear shocks and the front sway bar for clearance reasons.
Hope this helps. . .
