Okay, long story not so long. About a month ago my car sat for 3 days in -30 ish weather (celsius, not fahrhrhrhenheit). Anyways, after 3 hours of trying it wouldn't start. The next day my boss gets the car running (like crap I might add). Next day - vroom - like a charm

On and off it would start (I know I cooked the starter the first time, because it makes a horrible noise... anyways)... can't use it for work because it just generally won't start.
Go away for a week camping (ya, camping in February
) crank it up when I get back - vroom. Next day, vroom and drive it around.
Monday, cshshehshshsehshehs... the starter goes.
Okay, so long story long... I realize I STILL have 20w50 in there... change the oil (er, syrup) to 10w30... vroooooooooooooom. Ya, I need a new starter because of it... but I forgot to change to my 'winter' oil. Grrrrr... so because I had 20w50 (0c) oil in it, it's gonna cost me time and a new starter. I'm stupid. Ya. Well... hasn't been a problem since. Can't wait till spring when I put the 20w back in... gotta love VW

Thought I'd rant/share/gloat/cry... I'm soo happy the fargin' thing is back to 'normal'.
Stupid oil.
