I'm trying to find some apparently hard to find parts. The mount bushings for my alternator are old and worn out, so I'm looking for replacements (especially the front/tensioner bushing). Where do y'all recommend finding these? The dealers says they can't get them, I have a call into Veeparts in San Diego. Any other suggestions?

my friend welded washers in place of the bushings

Autotech has alternator bushings listed on their web site. Check with them also.

Re: hard to find parts - alternator bushings (SilverRabbitGTI)

$57 later, I have a new set of bushings from veeparts (http://www.veeparts.com)
That's better than dealer price, the one back threaded bushing was about $40 by itself....
