has anybody buy 4 motion valence from dealer yet ?????

4 motion valence is standard on 2002 Jetta 1.8T (not sure about Golf).
I went to my local dealer and they told me that the price is $62.05 plus tax, but on the printout that I requested, it has two prices one is $55.40 and the other one is $62.05.
My question is has anybody buy this from your local dealer, and how much did they charge you ?
BTW here's the part # for your refference: 1J5-807-521-A-B41
Thanks guys

Dealer prices will vary dealer to dealer. Probably even part family to part family within a dealer.
AND their prices will have various levels of markup (net to you) based on lotsa things.
That's a fair price for it, I'd buy it.

yup.....well at least the rear valence......because it is standard on both Jetta GLI and 2002 1.8T.
Jman.....so dealer can markup the parts price........well I guess $62 is reasonable huh rather than $100 outside dealer......thanks man...

Wait - let me get this straight. The 2002's differ slightly in that they come with different front and rear valences, the 4motions? Anyone have a picture to show and tell?
Re: has anybody buy 4 motion valence from dealer yet ????? (redGLS)

will the front and rear valences on the GLI and 25th anniversary gti fit on the north american golf/gti bumpers?
Re: has anybody buy 4 motion valence from dealer yet ????? (redGLS)

wait a sec... I've seen the 2002's driving around with the 4-motion rear valences but the dealerships in North America also have the 4-motion fronts? thats news to me.

Agreed - I have yet to see a FRONT 4motion valence, but I have seen a couple REAR 4motion valences on stock US VW's. Could someone who REALLY knows clearify?
Thanks,
Rob

I'm not sure wether the 2002 Jettas have front 4 motion or not, but as far as I know they have rear 4 motion valence.
zilla....golf's and jetta's valences are not interchangable, but the sideskirts are. So you can fit 25th anni. skirts to Jetta without any modification.
Re: has anybody buy 4 motion valence from dealer yet ????? (redGLS)

I saw the new valences up close this past weekend. These are not 4-motion rear valences. They have an exhaust cut out, but no cut out for the tow ring. The new tow ring has a flange on it that lowers it below the valence. Not sure if the exhaust cut out is in the same exact location has on the 4-motion (dimensions-wise)... From what I saw, the tow ring and flange that lowers it are welded on, so it's not a simple task of swaping tow rings either. This was on a Jetta.
