has anyone grafted in Porsche 911 (996) headlights into a NB?

It seems to me that on the new Turbo S model, the headlights look to be similar shape to that of a 911 (996) if you joined the signal with the headlight. am I just dreaming, or is someone gonna do this?

I dig. What little rvlaha may not realize, is Porsche headlights mean auto-leveling Xenon headlights. I can see where the auto-leveling could make things tough, though.
I would do it, but I'd never own a Beetle so I guess that's out of the question!

I still want a NB. I would have loved to have gotten the one from momentum with the VR6. it's such a sleeper

Lets not forget about the price tag of $2600. USD just for the lights, plus the mounting hardware. I know, it's crossed my mind several times

One of the great things about the NB design is that it doesn't try to be what it isn't. That's the problem I have with a lot of the flashier mods out there. Personalization is great. I'm all for it. Some more tasteful mods can succesfully enhance the design. But the original design is so balanced and internally consistant, that to slap on some Porsche headlights throws it all off. You end up with a platypus....with auto-leveling Xenon headlights.
