I was browsing nissan's website and came across this:

1967
The Datsun most-desired by collectors, the 2000 Roadster, is also the first Japanese production sports car to come with a 5-speed. That, plus its robust 150-hp engine, makes it extra fun to drive. Production is limited to 1,000 and the first 10 are lightweight versions for racing. The 2000 Roadster wins 10 SCCA National Championships between 1967 and 1987.

very cool looking car.....can anyone agree or disagree with the 'fun to drive' claim?
on another note, i wish Nissan would restart their program of selling restored 1st-generation Z cars....

Re: has anyone here driven the '67 Datsun 2000 roadster? (turbo_randy)

Wow, what a cool little car. I'd own one!
Huh? Nissan had a 280ZX restoration program? How about a bring the Silvia to North America program?
