yesterday i called them up and waited to talk to to someone. it said i was number two in line. after 10 min it hung up on me. it was long distance, i was pissed. so i called up techtonics. they answered right away and they got my money
They owe me a refund on a part as well. This thread has me kind of worried now, BUT I've received NOTHING but the highest level of professionalism from them so far. Jeff has given me great customer service, and until I see otherwise I will continue to stand behind them. I'm interested in what others have to say, could somebody IM me about it?
Re: has anyone talked to velocity lately? (Legal Alien VR6)
velocity owes me my 90 bucks from the flywheel core. not that 90 bucks is a big deal, but its still enough to piss me off. i have alot of money to spend on cars (living at home still and making pretty good money) but velocity will never see another dime from me. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

Re: has anyone talked to velocity lately? (16vpower)
I JUST READ THIS IN THE 16V FORUM BY 130-R
quote:

Velocity Sport no long exists.
Due to some unfortunate circumstances with illness Jeff Moss has not been able to continue his business. Drew (2035cc16v) got an email from Kris Valdez and he said that he will continue to be an invaulable part fo the 16v community, where or what his next plans are are uncertain. Mike Potter from Virtual World Parts ( http://www.parts4vws.com ) bought out the rest of Velocity stock, whether or not Potter will continue to offer the blend cam sets is uncertain, but I'll be asking shortly.
I just thought I would pass this along as Velocity has been responsible for some of the best tuing info for the 16v engine, and that this is a big loss to the 16v community. I'm sure 16v or Drew will pop in here and give an email addy to forward condolences too.
Wow, that's a major bummer. I really wanted those brake lines. Jeff, Kris and the entire crew has been tremendously helpful in purchase decisions for me in the past.
Best of wishes to Jeff...perhaps Vortex members could send him a group 'get well' message or something...
Hard to lose a group of people who still were great supporters of the older cars.
Re: has anyone talked to velocity lately? (SeattleGLI)
Some mod needs to combine this post with all the others, prolly the one in socal because thats where velocity is. And the people there know what they are talking about. And I wouldn't worry, if velocity does infact have debts to people, they will most likley get paid. Jeff is not that type of person.
Re: has anyone talked to velocity lately? (a2vwnick)
Yeah, my friend told me today that Velocity went under. I was pissed. The thing is, I don't understand how they shut down. They seem to get alot of business from what I hear. What a bummer.
Re: has anyone talked to velocity lately? (Scooter VW)
The longer these threads go on, the more people I hear are owed money by Velocity. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like that might have been a contrubuting factor in this whole thing. At this point I have very little hope of getting my money unless my credit card company can help me.
