what are you doin for the wiring?? i am thinking about doing this myself, are you using the plugs from the a3 or are you just splicing the wires from your stock one??
I'd also like to know a little about this swap.

The wiring for this is VERY simple. Its 1 ground and 2 positives. 1 for the low speed and 1 for the highspeed.....worse comes to worse...all u need is female speaker terminals..because the plug ON the fan has MALE spades...just take YOUR fan plug, clip the plug...take the 3 wires and put a female speaker terminal on each one..and plug into the spades.....simple...

It was in a recent thread. A few actually, try scrolling back a few pages its been within the past week.
I remember someone saying all you need to do is chop off the bottom 2 inches.
Please post pics and let us know how everything works out. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I did this last Thanksgiving,

I had to chop a semi circle in the bottom part of the fan shroud to make way
for the motor mount.
As for the wiring, the plugs were compatible [You can kinda see it].
But, if your's doesn't fit, cutting and splicing is pretty easy.
The only thing that you might want to consider are your AC lines. If you've
converted to 134 then it's no prob cause you might have to disconnect the
lines to fit the fan in. Which I did and it took about $10 to refill the AC.
If you're still working with the R-12, it'll cost you about $80.
Email me if you've got more questions.

thanx jazz... sounds pretty straight forward, and i could see how the plugs look the same...
I don't have to worry about the a/c crap, since i am deleting mine completely when i reinstall the engine w/ a 2.0 block (can't wait). thanx again.
