Installed the tail lights and harness yesterday. And in typical VW fashion clips were broken and one screw had to be drilled out :laugh:

Oh well, I'm loving how they transform the rear of the car. My 2nd favorite mod to date by far

I just scrolled through this thread to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Have you done any suspension mods yet or are you still at stock height? And are you running spacers with the wheels or no?

I'm on stock suspension and no spacers on the wheels. :thumbup:

Any plans to go lower? Living in WI I’m torn on lowering my car any since I drive it year-round but I wanna eliminate some wheel gap and I think 19s are the way to go

Are these like Audi's where they flash from left to right and vice versa? Where did you get them from and price?

At the moment no. Roads are pretty miserable where I'm at in Dallas so stock height it is. My S3 I had before was on coils and it was annoying trying to dodge bumps/holes and worrying about turning into places.

Yeah, these have dynamic turn signals. I mentioned it before but I got them from e-acca and the price with shipping to me was around $550.

I can’t get over how good the wheels look on stock suspension and gives me a moral dilemma on lowering or not

Haha! Thank you! I'd definitely say lower it if you can. I'm not because roads in my part of town are trash :banghead: so stock height it is!

Haven't checked in here in a minute or two, but figured I'd update with some recent pics. I did place a pre-order for the Loiacono Engineering lip spoiler in gloss black this week (looks identical to the GTI TCR spoiler). Also leaning towards a custom exhaust lately after meeting up with some other Mk7 peeps this weekend :laugh:

Great pictures. I just checked out the spoiler you mentioned and really like it. I've been waiting for the Mountune to release theirs but it's taking forever. It was between theirs or Maxtons but now that one you mentioned is in the mix. I've never heard about those guys, but love the Facebook pics of it. Thanks! :thumbup:

And any links to the other GTIs in the photos? Each one has something I'm thinking about doing so I'd like to see more photos of them if possible.

It's actually just a S trim with a whole lotta done to it . Pretty much APR FBO, coils, Rotiforms, and some Maxton stuff (I think). I'm trying to get him to get some Euro tails now :laugh:

Yup! Another friend of mine's as well. APR FBO and has the Aerofabb lip spoiler on the rear

Definitely wanting to tune it and get an exhaust for it lately. I'm trying to source the exhaust tips from the VW R Performance Pack exhaust & and the ones from the GTI TCR Concept (pretty sure they're proprietary Akarapovic tips) and go a custom exhaust route. Tune will be through 034 when I tune it.

I was looking at them too but probably just going to go with the spoiler if it's the right price. Here's 2 pics I've saved of their spoiler. I personally love it. They just need to hurry up and release it. They said it would be released by the end of the summer along with the flares.

I agree with you on the suspension thing too. I drive into the DC every day for work, and as much as I'd love to lower mine, I just can't. I've already had to replace 3 tires on my car in a year and half, so I couldn't imagine the problems lowering the car would bring. They do look great though when they're low though.

Thanks man! Yea I guess the black mirror caps threw me off. Found his IG over the weekend after a very familiar pic popped up in the Search/Explore feed. Spooky how my phone always seems to know what I'm looking for :sly:
