OK im assumining I blew out my PIAA Superwhites tonight
Anyone have any suggestions on a new set of Bulbs? To tell you the truth i want something a LOT brighter than the Superwhites (I dont really care if they are "street legal"). I want a real bright white.. as bright as i can get without going HID.. and i dont wanna put bulbs on that are 110 watts that are gonna fry my electrical.

Re: Headlight Bulbs (vwcruisn)

You're going to have a hard time finding bulbs that will be much brighter in the stock headlamp casing. Even if you did a HID conversion, if it's in stock headlamps, it'll be dim and unaimed as all hell. You want brighter, buy a golf hood and some dual-bulb GTI lights (like mine in my sig if they're still available) those will be much brighter than regular Jetta headlamps. Or you could pony up and get the smoked Vento E-code lights, which are night and day difference from stock headlamps. The only thing you'll get out of non "street legal" bulbs is more purple.
BTW HID's run at 35watts. If you did throw in 110watt bulbs, all you'd have to do is install an inline relay to protect your wiring and you'd be good to go.
