My 1994 jetta III was wrecked at some point, and the front end was replaced. The head lights are funky. If you turn on the headlights, the highbeam indicator in the cluster stays lit, only with the headlights on. When you pull the switch to turn on the high beams, the indicator flickers a little, but stays lit, and the headlights dim like their getting a bad ground or something. I have tried several different methods, to find the problem, but I think it may be the wrong harness, or the wrong bulbs. Please help!!

Re: headlight problem (brad s)

if the high beam indicator stays lit, it is most likely a bad ground in the headlight wiring harness http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I have tried to ground the wires for the high beams and the light goes out, but as soon as you pull the lever, the fuse for the low beams blows on the left side.
