Heads Up - 1999 B5 parts recall

I recently had my car serviced at the stealership and in addition to what they were servicing apparently there were about 3 items they wanted to inspect for recall notices. I can't remember the 3rd item, but I'll post it when I remember to look at my invoice again. But two they checked / replaced at no cost were:
1) Control arms
2) Timing Tensioner
Just a heads up you guys may want to check with your shop to see if you can get these items serviced for free.

its not worth the trip..and i dont think they'll like the 3in intake and upsolute chip tuning sticker on ecu box

You know what they do for the tensioner crap? Pull the toothed belt cover and check to see if the belt has tension. Not really worth anything if you ask me. If you're driving around w/ a loose ass timing belt you should know, and you wouldn't be driving long if it was loose either....

It's worth the free coffee and car wash. Plus personal time to stare at the new a3, Can't wait for the S3
