Hey just picked up my 97 GTI DE last night. I didn't expect it to have heated seats, it's got the cloth interior, not leather.
Anyways I was looking for the fuel door unlock button and found a little red switch on my drivers seat down next to the reclining adjustment part to a degree.
I flicked it since I figured it would be heated seats (it has the logo on it) but nothing happened. I read about heated seats in the manual, it tells dick all and supposedly there's a slider somewhere to adjust heat levels.
Is this a heated seat button or am I just dreaming?

It has the heated seat icon on it though.. exact same one as the manual has.

Zoomy,
If your car had heated seats, it would have the adjustable thingy right beside the cluster.

Yeah, that's weird. That's not where the stock heated seat dial is. Maybe someone installed some kinda' aftermarket thing?

That's what I was thinking. It's just a small red switch with the heated seat icon on it if you stuck your left hand down in between the door and the seat. When I get home I'll take a pic of it to show you guys. No heated seat dials or anything else anywhere to adjust the temp.
I don't even think it works anyways..
