Heater control light not working...some help please

OK,
So I just bought a 90 Passat for my GF (she paid, I just did all the leg work to find her a nice one). The car is in tip-top shape, except that the lights for the heater/AC controls don't work. How do I get in there to change it. I already managed to get the bottom "open", but I can't figure out how to get the top out or where the bulb is?

the bulb is in the middle knob.. pull the knob out and the bulb should be right there, easy to pull out.

Hey WannaCorrado,
How is the engine holding up with 141k? Ever thought of swapping for a new VR6 since the torque comes on at 3200rpms instead of 4200 for ours?
