I've searched and have not been able to find a definitive answer on wether the Hella E-Codes and the MMP E-Codes are the same? Anyone Please, wanting to purchase a good quality setup, but would love to save $$$. I am curious due to the fact of a serious price difference between the two.

Yes, and no. The MMP ecodes are produced in the same factory, but are produced FOR MMP. Either way, quality is http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Cool - thanks

To expand a little more, they have a similar beam pattern, finish, etc... The reason they are a LITTLE DIFFERENT is because if they were EXACTLY alike, they would be hellas. (This is what MMP told me)

Re: Hella E-codes / MMP E-Codes (LBS@MMP)

I got mine installed and I love them. Couple them with the Euro switch and it's a beautiful thing (I think there's a GB on Euro Switches for $40 in the MKIV classifieds).
And, yes, the MMP guys were very helpful and the proce and shipping, etc. were just right!

Thanks for the good words guys!
These guys have it correct. Basically, since Hella does not have a smoked e-code with fog available, we took the opportunity to market a light with these features, having a manufacturer known for building quality lighting products (some of which are made for Hella) build them for us. The end result is a light of quality comparable to Hella. We've had great results with these lights. The manufacturer's name is asked often, but we've been requested to keep them under solely the name of MMP, so this is what we've done. Doing so has not changed the fact they are a good quality peice.

I dont understand how you say HELLA DOES NOT HAVE A SMOKED E/CODE HEADLIGHT w/FOG... So basicly I have a smoked e/code headlight w/fog that says hella on it.... BUT ITS NOT A HELLA E-CODE????????

MMP's smoked Jetta e-codes are made by the same factory that produces units for Hella.
I've had my MMP e-codes on my car for a year now and they are simply awesome. One of the few mods on my car that I've done and never looked back. These lights rock especially driving in dark areas at night. Get some Philips VisionPlus H4 bulbs for your main beams, aim the lights right, and you'll be a happy driver. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
