I just purchased a 02 golf tdi with a automatic transmission. The car will move forward but it appears to be im limp mode. It will not move in revers or roll backward in reverse or neutral. The previous owner was apparently an idoit as the car has no shifter surround and has a 4 wire bundle that appears to have been cut i think this was originally where the tiptronic switch was. Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

I think I have this issue—any help? Did anyone/ anything get figured out on yours? Mine feels like I get gear one, gear two, neutral, but no reverse or any other gears
