Help.. 10'' fosgate not enough

Hey I have a 10'' Fosgate HE (200 rms/400 watts max) in a ported box and a fosgate 160.2 amp and everything else stock
maybe the seats are really thick, but it doesnt sound that great, it doesnt shake me enough in my seat. I hooked up my friends 12'' MTX (i think 125rms/400 max) and it hits a lot louder, but not too great (not that good on the SQ part).
Anyways, my other friend has a 15 inch mtx (not the top of the line one, one of the lower ones) and my other friend ahs a 12'' Pioneer IMPP (older) sub.. they are both the same price, which one do you think will do the trick?
Why is the 10 just not hitting hard? I thought the fosgate would be good enough
Theres a lot of rattle too..
please let me know what you guys think! thanks

My guess is that you could use a little more power on the 10" sub. Also you may want to redesign the Sub Box.

u can put up to 200 watts to that 10" sub dont follow the max rating it garbage u look at the Rhms
of couse a 12" is gonna hit harder and louder its 2 inches bigger
Re: Help.. 10'' fosgate not enough (scribbleVW)

a 12" sub is for reverb Bass. A 10" is not. 400w max isnt even all that much as well.
Re: Help.. 10'' fosgate not enough (VRpoweredA2)

your he sub can sound well just amke sure to optimize the set up, like fit the amp to the sub that you have like one that is 200x1 at 4 ohms, since im pretty sure that sub is 4 ohms...
