HELP! 2 to 3 sec. Power Loss While Driving 1.8T Tiptronic! Anybody have same prob?

This is the second time this has happenned since I got the car (about 3000 miles on it) both times while I was doing about 80 mph on the highway. The car will just go "mushy" and when you push on the pedal - NADA! Very weird! I have had the stereo up both times, so I don't know if it is the engine or the tiptronic. Then after a couple secs, power comes back...
Maybe it is related to the turbo or something. Any ideas?
