HELP! "bend cupkit strut", Qs on bilstein + warrenty, HELP!

Does H&R cover it? i have no idea how it bends, and any canada dealer i can work with?
I will order a set of bilstein to replace it, are the cupkit strut short then bilstein sports? are they the same length, special valve? i would like to just buy one to save some $$$$.....
any H&R contact numbers?
do they cover shipping cost too?

this has happen to a few people on the mk4 forum, H&R is not doing anything about it, my friend had to buy new shocks the kit has been on the car for 6 months, call who ever you got thekit from, in my opinion H&R cup suck...

zwo_vr6, so what shock did u friend got to replace the original bilstein?

cup kit not really sucks, but just not worth to cheer about

yeah, the manchanic told him when he was doing a checkup....
don't know what happen....
i am glad i didn't chose cup kit.....

I think they are Bilstein Sport Shocks but valved differently. Call H&R and drill them with questions and get some answers.

They should be under warranty. But, it will probably come down to how/who installed them. If you did it yourself they will probably decline..

he bought a set of Koni shocks, but he is buying coilovers soon

A friend of mine here in Houston got the run around from H&R when he bent a strut on his cup kit. This was on an MK4 Jetta 1.8t. They basically told him to stop hitting potholes http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

oh....probably i have to buy a pair instead of one now....don't know if i should go bilstein now.....
