I was quoted $375 for universal Remus muffler for my GTi.
Is that price about right? or can I get it significantly less somewhere else?

Re: Help: Buying Remus Universal Muffler (soundzero)

FYI your getting RIPPED.
I paid less than $375 CANADIAN for mine.
thats like 230 ish American
http://www.momentummotor.com There a Canadian company, but at the price you were quoted, it will still be cheaper to pay the duties/customs.
*If i remember correctly that is what i paid, but call momentum tomorrow and see.

Milltek 2.5 catback? just a thought...Troy Brown for President!
Re: Help: Buying Remus Universal Muffler (adsl_keeki)

Yeah, $375 USD is a very high price for the universal Remus. For $309 USD you can get an axle-back application specific Remus from Momentum!
Use the money you saved by getting it from Momentum towards the purchase of a TDI mid-pipe ($45) to work with your application specific.

those are the most expensive remus tips out there (trust me, i tried to get them) but the dudes i was trying to get it from said that it had to be imported from austrailia or some crap like that so it'd take a few months. so i just went with regular squarish tips and saved a hundred or so.

Re: Help: Buying Remus Universal Muffler (The AuDUBot)

Final thing, how much should I expect to pay for the professional installation?
Re: Help: Buying Remus Universal Muffler (soundzero)

you got a VR .. y go half-ass when u can go full 2.5 TT SS for about $450.
Re: Help: Buying Remus Universal Muffler (1BadAzzVR6)

I do not want Cat back and out of all the exhaust sound, I loved Remus the best. Not too loud and yet deep sound. Also, Remus tips looks the best IMHO.
Two friends I have, one from Switzlend and one from Germany, they both have remus on their cars.
is that reason enough for you why I am going "Half-ass" ?
