Re: Help...FUSE 38...Coolant fan control (FC) control Module (slage1)

Keeps blowing...it controls the fans and dealer is not sure why.
Did anyone experience this problem?
Thanks

Lol, has the dealer done any kind of troubleshooting? When does the fuse blow? Just when the fans kick on? There is obviously a short somewhere. Either in the control module, fan or associated wiring. Good luck. You might be better off taking it to a different dealer. Or T/S yourself. You would need the wiring diagrams though.

sounds like a short somewhere bad wiring or module.
Did the dealer replace anything yet besides the fuse?

You beat me to it.

Nothing replaced yet...
First time the dealer replaced the fuse...no other problem found.
The Problem happen a second time... Took it today to different dealer (replaced the fuse myself so the car does not overheat) and dealer is trying to find the problem but nothing yet.
Thanks for the replies...there is a lot of knowledge on Vortex http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

heres why i cant stand dealers/shops/etc that just replace the fuse when it blows....its not like a fuse just wears out overtime...something caused it to blow, sure it will take a little time to diagnose and wiring problems are always a b!tch but the dealer should have done more than replace a fuse and send you on your way

Im hoping they at least ran guided fault finding using the scan tool to check ALL modules/sub components, some fault should of popped up. my "guess" is probably an internal short from the module causing the fuse to blow. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
