Story is too long to explain, and I'm way to fvcking mad.
how can you repair a rear corner hit on a MK2 golf/gti?
I'm talking, pretty fcked up left of the VW logo on the back and onto the drivers side rear quarter panel.
can you replace those panels???

your looking at some serious welding. sounds like u will need the rear quater panel as well as the whole area below the hatch.
if the car isnt super sentimental, it may b time to part it, goin by the amount of dammage your describing. do u have pics??

it's what I'm doing to mine right now...basically your best bet...or atleast what I'm doing is this...finding a junked golf/gti in good condition...cutting a section out that is slightly bigger than the section that is damaged...and then getting someone to weld it in...it could possibly be banged out depending on damage done....but it's doubtful to be an easy fix...it will most likely require atleast some welding...sorry man...i'm there right now too...wish you the best of luck

simply put I'm fvcked. I can't afford to fi any of it myself, insurance may just right right the car off, so i'm fvcked

depending on the coverage u have, if the cost to repair it is more then half the value of the car (some use kbb retail, some use wholesale) then it will be totaled.
on the plus side, nothing is really damaged that is important, and if you were to buy another a2, or an a1 u can swap everything over. its just the downtime that sux.

yeah, and the fact that my insurance company just told me they may cancel my policy if I make this claim, which means I can forget driving anything until I'm like 25, thats a long way a way

y would they cancel your policy? was it your fault? are u hurt?
if u dont wanna loose your insurance u may have to buy a winter beater car and save money up to buy a decent rabbit/jetta/golf to swap your stuff into, or just sell your parts outright.

because I'm 18 going on 19, I have 2 tickets they knwo about and 1 they don't, they said if I make and "at fault" accident claim they may cancel my policy, so I can not go throuhg insurance at ALL!
If I can't afford to have it reapired myself, then I've got some really tough deciscions ahead of me

dude dont worry..ive got the SAME thing you have on my car. i hit a parked car when i lost my brakes a few months back. the rear corner in the back under the taillight is like "pinched" and its dented along the side...i need a new q. panel...dont stress it man. ive been driving the car around like that til i get some money to do it. It pisses me off to look at it everytime but i kno that it WILL get fixed in due time. i will have the cars body re done and painted when i send it in for the dent work. So i will pretty much get the whole car painted. Didnt you just get your car painted not too long ago? hmm..but anyhow most shops will do that pretty cheap as part of the "package" deal when painting your whole car and doing the whole cars bodywork. so its up to you..just dont stress yourself so much. car still drives fine though???

yeah, well mine is pinched, cheweed, raped, whatever. I can't drive it aorund untill I get a new tailight and somehow make the tailight sit on there, the spot where the tail light goes is seriously weird now
