Have you tried one of those round "tape" rollers? They work well for animal hair too.

I get good results by taking a clean, lint-free cloth, such as cheescloth, etc, and dampening it (not "wet" just damp to the touch). This gives the cloth enough "tack" to pull the lint/pet hair etc from the velour, and it then pills-up, which makes it much easier to remove with a good vacuum. Remember to wipe the cloth across the upholstery in one direction, and not back-and-forth, for best results. My '00 Golf GLS has black upholstery, and although the fabric is plush and of high quality, it is infuriatingly "magnetic" for every speck of lint and hair that comes into contact with it.
One other quick way to remove lint from the seats is to simply dampen your hands and "massage" the upholstery, again on one direction only. This will give similar results to using the dampened cloth, and if you have no vacuum cleaner handy, you can just pick the gathered lint-pills off of the upholstery.

Yes , I have tried every lint roller. Problem with this is that you cannot get into the creases of the seats or on the doors very well..
Thanks for the help vwlarry. It makes perfect sense. I will try it today.
PS - like the quote... classic.

Those lint rollers are good for about 1/2 seat and then they're done-for. Quite often, in car-cleaning as in other areas of interest, the "cheaper and simpler" method works as well as, if not much better, than the gizmos off the store shelves. I've found that the damp cloth technique works even better than using duct tape, which is also more effective than those lint rollers.
(BTW, as you grow more familiar with the chatter on Vortex, you'll more appreciate why I am using that oh-so-true quotation
.)
