ok here is the deal
under hard acceleration in 3rd and 4th gears the motor will cut out completely and will fall flat on her face!

now if i let up of the gas pedal for about 3 to 4 seconds she pics back up but as soon as i hammer it she cuts out again????????????!!!!

i have replaced all the vacume lines the intake fuel pump, o-rings , and fuel distributor, along with the accumalator.
any ideas here ????????? she also has a new cap rotor plugs wires ???????
also the oil warning lite comes on at 2100 rpms go over that or below and it shuts off. i think that is a bad sending unit????

:mad/gun:

Oil warning buzzer/light probably is the sending unit. The acceleration problem sounds like your losing fuel pressure or the potentiometer on the side of the air filter housing could be faulty or full throttle switch could be faulty or the wiring in the engine compartment.. The potentiometer sends signals to the ECM when accellerating by measuring the position of the air sensor plate and letting the ECM figure out what to make the fuel pressure and ign timing according to inputs from the air flow potentiometer, the idle and full throttle switches, engine coolant temperature sender and the O2 sensor. You might also inspect the air flow sensor/throttle body boot to make sure that it isn't split somewhere.

Sounds like the intake boot to me too. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Check your grounds as well.

i'm guessing fuel filter.

ok i replaced the all the coolant sensors and checked the coolant level all is good there as for the air boot that was my first part to check at the very beginning and i replaced it! now for the weird part ?
i replaced all my motor mnts with poly mnts. and the falling on her face has been cut in half ? so now it is 5 out every 10 times ? kinda strange?here is next thing i have discovered some has chopped the wirring at the distributor and butt connected it back together!

so now i'am looking for a good engine harness after i had just sold two of them about a month ago
that were perfectly fine! so if you have a harness uncut drop me a email at [email protected]

i would put my money on one of the the fuel pumps (maybe in tank one?). mine did the same thing and that is what it was.
sounds like it is starving for fuel. it makes sense when you look at the symptoms. in 3rd or 4th... under full accel...i bet if you were not under full throttle in 1st and 2nd, it wouldnt do it in 3rd/4th.
i bet that is what it is. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Yeah, that sounds like it to me too. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the transfer pump. Mine does that very occasionally now that i am up at altitude, but I'm 90% sure thats because I need to get the mixture reset.
