NGK........their pretty good......
but I think its more important to use proper spark cables..........because no good having good brand sparks if your cables need updating.
i just change my cables, sparks and there was a pretty noticable difference.
make sure all the heads and connections are firmly in contact with each other as well. easy thing to over look.

NGK's suck none of the vw's I have owned would run well on the use only bosch!

This happened to my friend's '86 cabby over the summer. I forget what was wrong with it now. I'll ask.

Change the cap, rotor, plugs(Bosch), and wires.

Anyone ever change your plugs and wires in less than an hour? In 20 degree weather? In the snow? Blowing snow? How about in 20 degree weather in blowing snow at dusk with a flashlight? Let me see a show of hands. Anyway, I had to go with NGK (sorry Terry) and Car Quest (ACK!!!) wires. Short notice and I'm putting in the 16V in the Spring, anyway. Regular VW mechanic was closed. Oh well, she runs like the champ she should be.
