Re: Help: Need a Pinout from a Bentley Manual... (hugemikeyd)

What is a "pinout"? What about the cluster? The mechanical? The electrical? The assembly?
Re: Help: Need a Pinout from a Bentley Manual... (NC-GTI)

the pin arrangements on the back of it. There are 2 32-pin connectors on the back and i would like those pin assignments.
On the Bentley CD it should be under: "Repair Manuals" then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Electrical Equipment" -> "Instruments" -> "Instrument cluster multi-pin connector assignments" but i need 2001.5+
Thanks again guys.

drplastic, i LOVE you!!!!
Oh and the "W" wire is for the Immo-II i think, its what is used to communicate between the ECU and the cluster to see if the key is valid to start the car.

That is what the Jetta has for a pinout. I have read them both over and i find that if the Passat cluster that i have is missing the Green Connector #4, i am in some trouble. Also, what is the "Comfort System"?
Thanks again!

Re: Help: Need a Pinout from a Bentley Manual... (hugemikeyd)

Couldn't say about the connector issue. I think the "comfort Control" system controls the alarm, central locking and power seat memory.
Re: Help: Need a Pinout from a Bentley Manual... (drplastic)

i am having REAL trouble with the CAN-BUS in my Passat cluster, the radio won't even communicate with it as well as the ASR and ABS systems...
