HELP!!!! Oil Plug is striped what can I do!!!!!!! My car is leaking oil, and realized it leaking oil, cause the pluged it striped. What are some options I can do to fix it???

Buy a new oil pan, oil pan gasket, and a drain plug

1. Uhm, buy a new plug

2. Who was the gorilla that torqued it down so hard in the first place?!?

With the crush washer in place it doesn't take much to lock it down.

WOHA DONT BUY A NEW PAN!!!! Go to napa and buy an oversized oil pan plug. Its like 4 dollars from a parts store. It makes Its own threads when it goes in. DONT BUY A NEW PAN YIKES!!! OVERSIZED PLUG get it

no no you pull the old PLUG(i dont get the joke?) and then just screw this one in. It is larger and makes its own treads. ANd then your done

wouldnt that cause metal shavings to get inside the oil pan??? that cant be good.

After installing the new plug remove it and re-drain oil. That should fluch out any shavings.

To eliminate the metal shavings try to find a oversized manatized drain plug that would solve all the problums
