trying to replace water pump but cant remove pulley because the hex nuts are stripped any ideas?Any help would be greatly appreaciated.....please respond ASAP

drill the heads off then easy out the rest!
probally best to take the pump out. Doin that stuff on your back SUCKS.

maybe grind the sides off of the bolt so you gan get a good hold onto it with some visegrips? tose things are on freakin' tight, tho'.

I am going to be swappin out a water pump tonight. I jacked it up to take a quick peek last night and noticed that the pully appears to be held in place with Torx bolts. I didn't have the correct size, does anyone know what they are? They look like T-30 bolts. Thanks for any help

"pull hard it comes easy," well thats what my old man always says...

But try a set of vice grips, you'll get it.

actually they are 6mm hex Iwould recomend trying to get a socket,I found out the hard way. oops, but I just noticed yours is a 1.8T so i dont know about yours, they could have changed it. Mines an 85 so you maybe right.

That happened to one of mine when I was replacing my H20 pump also...I think all we did was made a 7mm hex fit (seeing as it was sooooooo stripped

) by the usage of a nice hammer. It sounds violent, but if you have extras laying around, it's ok, they're stripped anyways right.
