I just realized I installed Weitec GT kit, with springs "Federnsatz" part #WEVW056F for GOLFIV
Apparently, there is another set of springs #WEVW535F specific to the BORA!!! Is there any discernable difference between GOLFIV and BORA springs, the shock/strut #'s are the same, so no problem there... I'm thinking Jetta=heavier, so slightly stiffer springs???
Did I go through that install only to have to do it all again???

Re: Help Weitec experts!!! (jfost)

I guess this would settle the question...
Do H&R or Eibach spring kits come discreetly for GIV vs. JIV ???

edit: just checked ND's website... Neuspeed is G/JIV together, but KW has different kits... one for GIV, one for JIV... what do you guys think about this???

Re: Help Weitec experts!!! (daveylin)

quote:

well Jason from need for speed told me they were the same, i got my order mixed up a few times and have golf springs and bora shocks...

The shocks/struts ARE the same... the part #'s are WEK849003/40 for rear, and WEK848015/40 for front...
The spring part #'s appear to be different:
GIV - WEVW056F
JIV - WEVW535F
I just CAN'T have the wrong federnsatz!!! Actually, I don't care, I just don't want it to cause any problems!!!
