okay well it hasn't cliniquily gone insane but, i hate how my washer nozzles spray. i got a 2001 golf gls and the damn nozzles spray not only the windshild but gets all over the roof all over the entire sides, and even the REAR window. basically it sprays the entire car well just not the hood. are these things adjustable, cause i hate just cleaning it and the next day use the washers and get nasty spots all over the damn thing, im i insane or does anybody else have had this experience.

while driving or when sitting still. There is ALWAYS lots of overspray while sitting still. But if you use them while moving there shouldn't be any.
I used to hit my bro in my old jetta with the washer fluid when the sunroof was open and I hit the washers while sitting still.

You can redirect them by sticking the sharp end of a safety pin in the hole and redirecting it if it's that much of a problem.

I adjusted mine by hand. You can lower (or raise) the stream so it sprays lower on your windshield, but as far as width of the spray is concerned, I don't think that is adjustable. Just look right under the lip of the hood and you'll see 2 rectangular plastic pieces, within those there is a piece that moves up and down.

A little off the subject.
In the mk3's you could remove the little black cover & the very tip of the rear washer nozzle to get the fluid to shoot straight out the back. At a stand still it shot a good 5 or 6 feet. I loved it for people who decided that tailgating was a good thing
