i was in first gear and accelerating then let up on the gas and put in the clutch, then pressed the gas and let up on the clutch and it started grinding, i pulled over and stopped. after that i put in the clutch put the car in 1st gear and let up on the clutch until the engagement point and it started grinding, i even let the clutch up all the way in 1st gear without touching the gas and all it did was grind without stalling.

will someone please tell me what happened and how expensive.

on and i have a 2003 gti 1.8t
