[blacked out vr6]

okay i wanted to clear out my front turn signals today and when i cracked it ... i also cracked the clear lens too... not the outermost layer one. the clear lense is inside the housing... and is chillen in there. what would happen if i took out that clear lense? would it light up the same? what would you guys do? help me please

Id just replace it all.
But thats me, I dont like to waste time fixing stuff I brake..

If memory serves me correctly, you would only have the outer lense on the signal to protect the bulb, and your light would not seem as "bright" because that lense is not patterned like the inner clear lense. The clear lense inside takes the light and, through the circular pattern in the plastic, puts it out into the day (or night) so people can see it, a type of magnifying lense, if you will. It's just that the light won't be so bright. I have a set of cleared out ones that I'm looking to get rid of (they're genuine VW) for a set of smoked ones, if you're interested. i might have that inside clear lense, if you want to pay a couple of bux for shipping i'll send it to you, i don't know if i kept the cracked (on the outside) signal though, but i'll check tomorrow
forgot to ask, did you crack the passenger or driver side one?

lol..i cracked both... what if i got brighter bulbs .. like some hyper white ones?

i got hyperwhite bulbs in my turn signals... purposely took out the two inside ones... works fine, the light output is probably not as bright as it should be, but you can still tell they're on and flashing and shiz... no BIG difference...

if u take everything out, and leave it as is, and put the bulbs back on and hit ur blinker......drivers can really tell that ur taking a turn, it is really that bright!
