Help! I am going to buy a GTI and when I went to go tow it home, the parking brake wouldnt go back down. At least not the cables. How does the brake work under the car? Any web sites?

Because its a gti with a performance cam, lowered, viper alarm, keyless entry, momo shift knob, performane coil, and its 900 bucks! not to mention its got a 2 year old paint job and 165,000 miles! By the way, its at my house after only two days rebuilding the front end at the shop. It needed a new hood, core support, radiator, and battery.
