I’m not a typical air suspension guy—heck, my Mk6 Jetta is barely even lowered, just about an inch below stock on VWR springs. But with a trailer hitch on the back and a steep driveway, I scrape pulling in if even my kids are in the back seat or I have a few bags of softener salt in the trunk.
Air helper springs would be just the ticket for me, but I’d like simple automatic management to just air the bags enough maintain my rear ride height no matter what the load is. There’s plenty of setups like that for trucks with leaf springs, but I’m not seeing anything similar for coil springs.
Anyone done something like this? I’d appreciate any advice!
