The problem that I am having is when the car is idle it has very noticeable vibration that I can feel when sitting in the passenger seat, also it seems to be a little on the hesitant side when driving on the freeway, but I could be exagerating....

Just wanted to see if anybody could provide insight.


It's an 03 Passat Wagon GLS 5spd

It might be that your throttle body needs cleaning.

Try googling vibration passat and you might find some help.

Also when posting, specify your engine type. 4 cyl, 6 cyl etc., how many miles on it, what maintenance has been done on it, co-ocurring symptoms, what problems you've had in the past, etc. The more info you supply, the better your chances for good response.

Probably the engine and transmission mounts. It's getting old enough to need them. Even if they're not leaking damper fluid all over the place, they can still be soft enough to cause excess vibration.

I will look into both just so I can get an idea, as well as familiar with the car itself.
