I thought this was an interesting item. I have never seen anything like this before (except for EV pusher's extra tank that is...)

Ooooh, cool!
Let's do the math again:
10 gal stock tank
+12 gal aux tank in car now
+ 9 gal spare tire tank
=31 gallons capacity
x50 MPG
=1550 Miles on a fill up!
As a bonus, I get a slammed Rabbit when it's full !!

Then, all I'd have to worry about is having a flat.

I had one of those in my old '78 Rabbit. I think the best I did on a tankfull was 520 miles, 1.5L gas engine.

I saw one of those in a junkyard not that long ago...maybe i shoulda got it. Duh.
