Haven't done a dyno yet - I just got the car upsoluted last Tuesday and haven't had a chance to dyno it. I'll be doing it either this weekend or next one but first I want to get a hold of someone with VAG-COM to do some boost logs and a block 120. I also want to do a block 120 while on the dyno - this requires coordination with someone with VAG-COM so it makes it a little more difficult

What are your initial opinions of it so far?
Noticably more power?
And how's the lag and smoothness? Overall drivability?

block 120 is not accurate with K04's for some reason.......so it will not give you a very accurate reading....but is good for comparing upgrades....

More than anything I want to do a boost log on the car. Block 120 would be an added bonus just for kicks. I'm very impressed with the increase of power!

you right there is not much K04 upgrades to compare,we must see more dynos,for now you got the highest from the K04 setup

Well I plan to join the Upsolute K04 crowd (of 1?

).... but I promised myself that I'd pay the car off first. So it's gonna have to wait probably 8 or 9 months.

I also *HAVE* to go with the k04 Up software, because no one that i know of makes a AWW k04 software package. Once I get a hold of my dealer again, I will post dyno's of my car.
my mod's are in the sig, click on "Golf 1.8T GLS" or whatever...

Yeah i'll be part of the ko4 crowed soon, i'm in the process of adding a second intercooler to the buggy this weekend, after that, i'll order the chip and what not once i get my tax... check.... dyno number will be in prob sometime in march (the weekend after i get my check ...

goin' for big numbers for an APH.... we'll see what happens....

Toad we have a program for 1.8t NB's with G/J injectors. I know a guy with some G/J's that he would be willing to sell you! ChrisG showed about 10-20hp gain with this setup over his other software

Bug Power, Is taz the only one in ontario (canada) that does upsolute? I can't get a hold of him and I would like the K04 software, ASAP.

I should have an UP K04 dyno by mid March. Car will have mods in sig plus the new turbo and software, Neuspeed TIP, and ATP FMIC.

Phishy,
Which Sachs clutch are you running? Did you bump up to 228mm? Any slippage? I'm looking at a Sachs/clutch upgrade before I go with a KO4.

228mm and the flywheel and Quaife all went in right after Xmas, no slippage and the clutch pedal feel is different than stock but not difficult to drive at all, we'll meet up this spring some time I'm sure you can take it for a spin and see what you think.

Did you do the install (of the clutch, flywheel, and LSD) yourself? I'm a pretty good "weekend" mechanic ( I've done head gaskets, replanked heads, brakes, exhaust, waterpumps, AC, belts, etc. ), but I've never pulled a tranny before. I do have another car that I can drive, so if I run into delays figuring stuff out, I have wheels to get me around. Anyway, is there any place in the Twin Cities area that could install this stuff for me at reasonable prices? Thanks.

I did not install any of it, way beyond me in terms of tools and knowledge. But I'm learning, I think the diff. install is pretty tough, not many try it themselves. I really don't have any place to recommend quite yet, Elite is doing the K04 tommorrow we'll see how it goes.
