Not a bad find and looks to be in rather good shape! If you found it for under a thousand and only have cold start problems (nothing unusual, eh), you didn't do too bad. Only major thing I see that's not original is the gas cap... Very nice Cabriolet (or in this case, Golf!)!

Seems you found a fur-faced hitchhiker, though...

Nice ride. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif The dealer quoted you $345 for a cold start valve?
If so, that's insane. GPR sells them for around $115.

Pick up a Bentley repair manual for the car. It's well worth the money and can help you troubleshoot your cold start issue.

Nice find, even for a Canadian version

Cute passenger.

FYI: Your car used to have "Azur" foil inscriptions on the rear quarter panels. It was a Canadian-only model (special paint, interior, Helios-painted Avus wheels, and the inscriptions).
Looks to be in good shape. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Yes http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
; but since it's missing it's inscriptions (re-spray?) it's no longer 100% original (and it originally came with a dark blue top).
