I am hitting limp mode on the highway not all the times but sometimes. My boost gauge would show 5psi all the sudden then drop to 0psi under full throttle. This started happening only when I got my FMIC installed. I have a 03 20th GTI. Anybody know how I can fix it?
So far I tried replacing my ECS Race N75 valve to the stock and still does it. Would the overboost kit from boostvalve.com fix that problem?
Thanks in advance

Re: Hitting limp mode on the highway only. (20V-Turbo)

To clarify, since this looks vaguely familiar.
You created a post less than a week ago, which has faded into the higher pages, that stated this problem was SOLVED since you reset your VTune settings.
Are you still having the same problems, and resetting VTune did not fix your problem?

VTune wasn't the problem. I am still having that problem. I am trying to eliminate every problems. Do you think MBC Overboost kit would fix this problem? of a 4Bar FPR?

No, the incorrect MAP sensor is what is causing problems.

I have the correct sensor now. 03 20th AE GTI MAP SENSOR and I am still having problems

My 03 doesn't have the same sensor that came stock in your 20th.

What? Look at my post again

There you go. Well, then you either have a boost leak, or need to reset your ECU from all the MAP swapping. And what V Tune settings are you using now?

I think you must have a boost leak. This happened to me a while back. I figured out that it was a leak when I was on the highway and I happened to pass a sound wall while mashing the gas to the floor. I was hearing a loud whistling sound that sure as hell wasn't my GFB Hybrid or my CAI. Sure enough, I checked all the hoses and the hose from the LIP to the intercooler was loose! Tightened it up and regained my PSI! Now, as far as your limp goes I hear they sell this viagra stuff fo youz limp bazturdz out dair.............

Which one is the LIP to the intercooler? By the way I noticed on the GReddy FMIC there is one hole by the turbo. On the stock pipe for the stock intercooler there is a big one and small hole. I have the big one but on the GReddy I don't have the small one thats suppose to go to n75 vavle i think. Do you think that can be my problem? I would need to weld it to the GReddy pipe where the n75 valve is.

So there is no hose going to the N75/WG?

I don't think so. Can that be my cause of limp mode on the highway>?

Pics don't work, but if there is no hose going to the N75, then there is no hose going to the wastegate, and that is definitely a problem.

So you think that is why its doing that on the highway?

The only hose going to the intercooler pipe is the Diverter Valve
