So far, I have been reading a lot about BOV's and it seems like only the ECS one works. Anyways, I am curious if ECS is running the HKS SSQ Universal BOV and also if it is, what is the part #, if anyone else has it. From the ECS site, they offer a DV/BOV recirculation kit, is that the kit to install the HKS SSQ Universal BOV? what else is needed? the plug for the intake piece? is a flange needed to plug into the intercooler pipe? couple hose clamps and a small hose? thanks.

Besides the HKS SSQV, the ECS kit includes a custom flange to mount the BOV to, a small length of hose, hose clamps, and the plug for the intake. There is also an optional recirculation kit that includes a nipple for the BOV outlet and a coupling to connect the intake hose to the hose running from the BOV. I would put pictures up of all of this, but my digi cam decided to krap out on me.

if i have the HKS SSQ Universal BOV and I'd like to install it, does ECS sell just the flange, plug, etc. (installation kit?). thanks.

How much do you tighten the nut on the BOV? From pics it looks like it's tightened to the second thread. Is that right? I'm in the middle of putting mine on.
EDIT - nevermind, I talked to Tom at ECS and everything is fine. It was a snap to install, and all of the HPD bike cops on training today heard it when I blew by the park they were in.

well.. they don't sell the install kit. you have to purchase the whole ECS tuning HKS BOV kit which is too expensive. What kind of flange are they using? what other things would I need and where to buy it if I was to make it work? I think the main idea is if you vent the air from the intercooler pipe it won't cause any problems. is that it?
