I dont know if you guys remember one of my posts a while ago. But I posted that I had a hole in the lower part of the intake manifold. I found out that its suppossed to be there. Its the casting mark. All the other scirocco 16v's that ive looked that have them also.

so there was no actual hole, just a circle that "was" a hole?
is it plugged? if it isnt then your car wouldnt run, so i guess i answered my own question.

I had my scirocco for sale for a couple of months and one of the guys that came over and looked at it told me that there was a hole in the intake. And so I looked at it and was shocked. I said how did that happen. Then took at look at another scirocco and it had the same thing. My friend was there and he told me that its the casting mark. So thats how I figured it out.
So now I decided to keep it. It might need alot of work but hey thats what I bought it for to fix her up.
