I am having problems with my homelink.
I have followed the procedure set forth in the manual. When I aim the garage remote at the front bumper I get the 3 flashes from the turn signal that indicated programming was sucsessful.
but no matter what I do, the door will not open when I press the homelink buttons on the sun visor. (the old remote does open the door)
I reset all the programming , by procedure in manual and programmed all 3 homelink buttons to open my garage door. On each of those programming the turn signals flashed to indicate programming was sucsessful.
Does anyone know how this system works. Are there two sensors in the bumper? One senseor to "read your programming" and one sensor "to send signal for door opening".
If it was only one sensor doing both of these functions it would not make since that the sensor responded to programming but wont send signal.
I have tried pulling the car to many different angels and distance from door and nothing makes these buttons work
any thoughts?

no, It's a "phantom" by Overhead Garage door.
my door is 10' tall and 10' wide, its a big door.
the opener is "commercial" grade, not sure if that would have anything to do with it
It has standard looking remotes, ect.
its just wierd that I am getting the flash - so that part works, just wont open the door,
I am going to go climb on a latter and look for a learn button now, or any button for that matter

there was not a learn button, but found a "code button" under the light cover.
pressed it, and a red light began to blink, ran to car, pressed and held #1, and it worked

If it makes you feel any better, I went through the same process.
After the A3's homelink remote learned from the original remote, I had to teach the opener the new homelink remote. The manual isn't too clear about that second step.
