I just changed the rad support and grill on the car, and now the hood doesn't sit flush with the fenders at the bottom. I'm guessing it's from rad support, and I'll have to put spacers under the latch piece to try and make the hood sit flush. I don't see what else it could be, any experience with this?

have you adjusted the black rubber bumpers and your hood latch mechinism? you should be able to straighten it out, unless it's like, an inch or something.

I tried that. Actually I took them off completely to see whether that was it, but the hood was and still is about 3/8 inch off at the front.

oh, i thought since you mentioned spacers that it was sitting too low, but it's too high? maybe you can loosen all the bolts that connect the core support, put 50lbs on it, and re tighten them? one side of mine sits a little high, but it came from a crashed car at the junkyard so it's acceptable.

I'm going to try and put spacers underneath the latch piece on the rad support so that piece sits lower, hopefully making the hood close a bit more. If not I'm going to bend it a bit like you said, shouldn't be too tough.

Side to side the grill is OK, but it's a bit high off the bumper, there's a small space between the grill and bumper. I can't see where it's making contact.

Thanks Ebraketurn, yeah I took the latch off the hood and it sits the same. The grill fits on the rad support nicely, I'm happy about that. I put the rad support in bolting from the bottom up, I'm going to loosen all the bolts, there's gotta be a bit of play in there. I'm thinking of putting about 200lbs of weight on it to bring it down a bit.

The thing is I took the hood latch off completely to check that and it still doesn't sit flush. Looks like it's hitting the top edge of the grill. The whole thing has to come down a bit, oh well it'll be allright 'till the weekend.

Aww Sh!t!! I was trying everything I could to try to get the hood to sit flush when I looked up and saw a line going through the middle of the hood. The Neuspeed strut bar is hitting the hood, that's why it's not closing properly. Besides telling me that I'm screwed, can anybody give me suggestions on how I should fix this?

Nope, bare hood. I'm going to take it to my friend's bodyshop, hopefully he can bend the bar so it clears the hood and have the screw holes in the strut tower line up.

When I took the latch off it still wasn't sitting flush. It's not bad, it's just barely making contact with the hood. I saw a line going through all the grease under the hood, not even enough to scratch the paint, no dents and at least I know exactly where it's making contact. It just took this long since the strut bar went in that I noticed that the hood isn't flush.
