Hi all I added a badgeless grill to my car, problem is it came with the notch filler, and looks good from about 15 ft away but looks like crap up close. I plan to get a CF hood, but need to wait a bit for the money, I live in Central Jersey, how much you think it would cost to have it filled and painted correctly? and does anyone know a reliabel body shop to bring it to?

This might be a stupid question, but is DTC Designs a body shop? I have a dent that I need removed.

Im sorry to be a pain, but I really want to eventually get a different hood, is cleaning up the notch over 100 dollars? I dont need an estimate, I just want to know if I should just put the money towards a new hood.

Damn I think I will drive out to NJ to get this filled to. 100 bucks you cannot beat that.
One question though. Is that filling it with the plastic notch or will you fill it with metal.
And how much to shave the rear VW emblem. If thats an awesome price I can get a few cars there.

Damn.......And you guys will have some business. Got my IM with you number. I will give ya's a call. Who do I ask for. Oh yeah, now once you fill the notch do you guys do the whole hood or just a little area just because I hear its hard to blend on the hood that they just paint the whole thing. Not positive though.........

Unfortunatly they aren't painting right now..SO 150 is just for the fill, which brings me to another question...how exactly do you go about filling?...is this just bondo, because puttiing in a tiny piece of steel and bondoi-ng it is about a 15 minute job, the largest part of the job is waitin g for the bondo to dry and takking 5 mins to sand....without paint is there really that much to the job?

For 150 we are making a metal plate. Welding it in. Making it flush on the top and the bottom surface of the hood so it can be ready for paint. Primer is also applied. It is not a 15 minute job. If you already have the metal hood notch it is 100 because that will eliminate a step in the process. And everything was answered except whether you paint the whole hood or just the area or is it 150 just for the work and then I take it and get it painted.
