It's happened to me before especially more in the winter months. Remove and clean out old gunk. (Be careful with old brittle sensor wiring) Re-lube with silicone, lithium, or white grease. Then adjust height. In the past, I have simply adjusted the latch position, but no go todaySolutions? Grease/Spray lube?
I'm glad you squared that away. I broke the wire off the sensor and had to buy an ebay part just for a new sensor and wire. The hook that catches the actual latch was sticky... gave all the works a good soaking with Brake-Clean...That did the trick, I'm happy to say.![]()
